Medi-Float Program

One Love Float has adopted the industry-leading program created by the Canadian Float Collective to help make Floatation Therapy accessible to those who need it most.  One Love Float Medi-Float Program will also serve as a platform to gain momentum for Floatation Therapy's inclusion under extended medical insurance plans across Canada.

By using Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (REST)  and removing the "gravity tax" on our bodies, the mind is free to explore and meditate while the body can achieve deep euphoric relaxation and focus on recuperation and healing.  As the brain goes into the Theta state, it offers access to unconscious material, free association, sudden insight, and creative inspiration.  In this state the body also lowers its levels of cortisol, the main chemical component of stress and the brain releases elevated levels of dopamine and endorphines, the neurotransmitters of pain relief and happiness.

Lorraine Smart, a participant in the program with One Love Float and who has suffered from Fibromyalgia for 30 years, comments  “It is the most relaxing experience I have ever had, no pressure points that ache when floating. I have fibromyalgia and for the first time in a very long time, I don't need to take pain killers to get a full night’s sleep. I have also had problems with a lot of hot flashes, these are now few and far between. Seems this problem improves with each visit. I am very pleased with the results. “
